You’re never far away from a great picnic site in the beautiful Collie River Valley. Pack your esky and picnic basket and head off into the great outdoors.
If you have children with you, some suggested picnic sites are below:
Finlay Gardens |
The Finlay Gardens were officially opened on the 26th January 1994. Within the park a statue has been erected to commemorate women's suffrage and their contribution in pioneering times.

Harris Dam |
North of Collie, Harris Dam is a peaceful, relaxing location, with native gardens, grassed areas for hitting the football or throwing a frisbee, free gas barbecues, picnic tables and toilet facilities.

Lions Park |
Lions Park, on the banks of the Collie River, at the corner of Patterson and Crampton Streets has barbecues, covered picnic tables (which can be useful in wet weather), playground equipment and toilet facilities. |
Minninup Pool |
At Minninup Pool, only 3km south of the Collie township, can enjoy a picnic on the riverbank. Picnic tables and toilet facilities are provided.

Soldiers Memorial Park |
At the Soldiers Park in Steere Street you’ll find barbecues, picnic tables, toilets, plenty of shady trees, grass and playground equipment. Be sure to save some bread for the ducks and geese.

Visitor Centre |
The Visitor Centre complex at the western entry into Collie has plenty of parking (including long bays for vans, trailers, boats etc ) and some picnic tables.

Wellington National Park |
Both Potters Gorge and Honeymoon Pool have free gas barbecues, picnic tables and toilet facilities.
